The People’s War

07/31/2010

Braaaaains, nostalgia-filled braaaains!

More throwback to my 6th grade skills, not much improvement huh; eeeeehhhhh burn.  This is based on the “comic” portion of the notebook called “The People’s War.”  It’s said to contain wanton and gratuitous violence which I totally got from all those PC game cover warnings (e.g. Shadow Warrior, Blood, Duke Nukem, etc.).

Stupid tank, I guess I'll heal you. It's not like I like you!

MS Paint screenshot of my fresh 80 priest as of today!  Avoided drawing hands yesssss.

Gumby Prickle

07/29/2010

"Die Grumby!" Prickle said. "Noooo I'm Gumby!" Gumby yelled.

These are pretty much my 6th grade drawings of Gumby and the gang.  Yes Prickle has a Korn shirt on.  I had them shooting each other and every other violent thing in between.  I even had evil “alternate” versions named things like Pickle and Grumby.  Pretty AWESOME man.

Oh Susannah!

bizee bizee BUZOOOOOOOOO!

I went about doing this one out of nowhere.  It was just going to be a reference to one of the stories that weirded me out pretty good (along with Harold, Me Tie Dough-ty Walker, etc.) from the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books.  I searched for it on wikipedia for fun and found this: “Reprints of the books with new illustrations by Brett Helquist have been announced and will be released on July 28th, 2010.”  So yeah, funky.

Martian Queen

Duck DOOOOOdgers

Been trying to think of some Sci-Fi related things but the Martian Queen from Duck Dodgers was the only thing I could think of.  So I got it out by drawing it, for some reason coming out of a shower.  I guess her hair is that color since her eyebrows are that funky blueish color… maybe white, I dunno.  The 2.0 version is here: https://wolfeditor.wordpress.com/2011/08/05/martian-queen-2-0/

The Moon BG

07/23/2010

Strangers in the night, exchanging glances.

This is pretty much the background I’d always use while drawing stick figure war standoffs.  A dark and windy, moonlit night in front of some sort of large landscape(hill, mountain, etc).  Of course it was in pencil on some sort of class’s notes.
